Social Justice Fellows Program - Oudc''s Social Justice Fellows Program Is Designed To Create A Generation Of Leaders Who Will Transform Communities Using The Tools And Knowledge Acquired As A Part Of The Oudc Program. The Current Class Of High School Students Is The Most Diverse Cohort In Oudc History. With A Change In The Bylaws Oudc Currently Recruits Students Who Represent Various Ethnic, Cultural And Racial Backgrounds. The Current Program Focuses On Teaching Students The History Of The Civil Rights Movement And Jewish History While Making The Connection With Current Racial Justice And Environmental Justice Movements. The Delivery Of Program Curriculum Includes: Meeting And Learning From Activists; Racial Justice Leaders; Professors And Clergy, Participating In Community Service Projects, Learning To Lead Workshops And Conversations About Racial Justice Issues And Teaching Students To Speak About Their Experience In Oudc To Inform The Community Regarding The Impact Of The Program And The Importance Of Supporting This Work. The Overall Goal Of The Social Justice Fellows Program Is To Give The Youth Of The Greater Washington, Dc Area The Tools Needed To Make The World A More Just, Fair And Equitable Place For Everyone.
