    Visitor &Amp; International Student Association (V.I.S.A.) Is A Public Benefit Corporation That Exists To Provide A Welcoming Community For International Students In Memphis, Tennessee. International Students Experience Tremendous Loss When They Leave Their Countries Of Origin To Study In The United States. When They Are Separated From Their Culture, Language, Family, Traditions, And Food They Often Feel An Overwhelming Sense Of Loneliness And Exclusion. And Amid The Pandemic This Past Year Those Struggles Have Been Highlighted More Than Ever. We Were Able To Mobilize Our Volunteers To Be A Calm &Amp; Supportive Help To Students By Further Developing Safe Relationships, And Showing Them Radical Hospitality By Doing Things Like Delivering Groceries, Hosting Virtual Community-Building Events, Encouraging Our Volunteers To Engage In Outdoor Exercise With The Students, And Even Helping Those In Our Community Effected By Covid-19.
